We are facing an unprecedented situation in the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic. On March 23, pursuant to executive order 2020-21 (Stay Home, Stay Safe), Governor Whitmer issued a “Shelter in Place” order for Michigan residents – with some exceptions – effective at 12:01 a.m. on March 24.

But sheltering in place just isn’t something the agriculture industry can do. Animals need to be fed and preparations need to be made for the quickly-approaching crop season.

The executive order recognizes that many businesses cannot shut down and, as carriers of food and feed products, Zeeland Freight Services, LLC is exempt from the order. Through these difficult times, we remain open and Zeeland Freight continues to serve our customers with on-farm delivery and pick-up, as well as delivery of soybean oil to food producers and distributors.

If you have any questions, please call us at (616) 772-9042. We may not have all the answers, but we’ll do our best to work it out together.

Thank you for thinking of others during these trying times and abiding by our new standards.

From all of us at Zeeland Freight Services, we’re praying for a safety and health for you and your family.
